Whether your pet likes to romp and play or simply relax and be pampered you can rest assured your canine will enjoy a vacation here with us.  Our well-trained, dedicated staff looks forward to lavishing your dog with plenty of one-on-one attention.  Pampered Pets makes every effort to ensure all our guests enjoy their vacation away form home.

Pampered Pets offers safe and extremely clean lodging areas for all of our pet guests.  You will not find a more elite kennel in Central Virginia.  Please come and visit us!  See for yourself what sets our facility a part from the others.  Our canine accommodations offer all the services you would expect for your pet – clean, comfortable climate-controlled enclosed surrounding under the attentive eye of our loving staff.

Accommodations

Our dog lodging accommodations are comfortable well maintained individual 14 foot long runs which include a private area for resting and a socializations area for exercise and elimination if needed. Potty Breaks are offered twice daily for our pet guest that prefer to eliminate in a more natural surrounding.

If you have multiple dogs you may choose to board them side-by-side or together in the same run.  If boarding together, please let us know when making your reservation if they need to be separated for feeding.

You are encouraged to bring your pets preferred bedding and favorite toy.  While infrequent, please be aware these articles may become damaged or possibly lost at times.  If it is not feasible to bring your pets own bedding then you may choose to rent our fleece bedding or pet cots for your dogs comfort.

We do everything in our power to make sure our pet guests are as content, comfortable and stress free as possible.

Please note Pampered Pets reserves the right to refuse service based on a pet’s temperament or health.

Activities and Pampering

Play Sessions

The experienced staff at Pampered Pets understands each dog has a unique personality. We have Play Sessions for our high-energy guests and for those who enjoy more relaxed play and some extra petting attention time.  All sessions are offered in 10 minute increments.

Frosty Paws

For afternoon snack time, we offer doggie ice cream to all of our canine guests.

Special Needs

The highly trained staff at Pampered Pets understands that some of our guests may have special needs. Please feel free to discuss any special requirements with us when you make your reservation. We will do everything in our power to make sure your pet is taken care of and provided for. The following is a sampling of special needs that can be accommodated:

• Medications

• Special meal preparation
• Extra feeding times
• Food from home
• Treats from home
• Special handling care
• Daily brushing

Medical Care

If your pet should require medical attention while in our care our customary procedure is to contact your veterinarian. If your veterinarian’s office is closed we will contact the Veterinary Emergency Treatment Service. Upon arrival we will ask you to provide your emergency contact information.

Our caring staff can administer any injections, oral or topical medications your dog may require during their visit.

Meals

Our canine guests are fed premium Diamond food during their stay. The specific blend of Diamond food has been chosen for its high palatability and digestibility making it the perfect match for dogs in a boarding situation. Both dry and canned formulas are available. You are welcome to provide your pet's regular food if you choose (please pack in a sealed container).

It is recommended you limit the amount of food you provide your pet on the day of admission due to the natural excitement your pet may experience upon arrival at Pampered Pets. Likewise, food and water should be limited for the first hour or two after you pet arrives home. This will allow your pet ample time to settle down before feeding.

Vaccinations

The health and safety of each of our canine guests is very important to us. All canines must have current vaccinations for the following:

• Rabies
• Distemper/Parvo Virus
• Bordetella
• Coronavirus*

Certification from a veterinarian is required for each of our guests before admittance can be allowed. If your pet requires an updated vaccination please make arrangements for the vaccination to be administered no less than 5 days before any grooming service or boarding time is scheduled. Puppies must complete the full series of vaccinations including the rabies vaccine no less than 5 days prior to their scheduled stay. Titers will be accepted with proper documentation.

*This vaccine is not a requirement however we highly recommend all dogs that board or are professionally groomed receive this vaccination. Please consult with your veterinarian to make the best decision for your beloved pet.

Complimentary Visit

At Pampered Pets our team of caretakers understands there may be some anxious feelings during your pet's time away from home. Of course you want to make sure the place you choose makes both you and your pet as comfortable as possible. We are happy to schedule a complimentary day trial visit on any Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday to set your mind at ease. During this stay your pet's comfort level and needs will be monitored and our staff can make recommendations based on your pet’s reactions to the trial visit.

Please note a trial stay may be required for your pet prior to acceptance. Pampered Pets reserves the right to refuse services based on any pets' temperament or health.
